'Seascapes' is a collection of original pieces for 6-string and 8-string guitar, inspired by the landscape of the Pacific Northwest. This is my first compositional venture, written while I was back home on Vancouver Island during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by the beauty of the landscape, I attempted to capture the vastness of the ocean using rich chordal texture and shimmering harmonies, using electronic elements in some of the tracks to elevate these qualities. The musical style is a blend of ambient electronica, minimalism, jazz and romantic era classical music, with a combination of composed and improvised sections.
